Description

Western Pacific 302 is a Harriman style 78-foot steel coach. The car is equipped with four-wheel Commonwealth trucks with 36-inch wheels. It is part of series 301 to 320.

History

The car was built by Pullman in October 1929. It was part of the equipment used on the Exposition Flier train.

  • Owners: Western Pacific 302
  • Current Condition: This car had a fire on the interior just prior to the being acquired by the Museum. It needs work, but the exterior could be made presentable without a lot of effort.
  • Proposed Future Treatment: In the near future this car should get window sash, steps and exterior paint. The restoration of the interior is a future project.
